Almost everybody has acne at one time or another, mainly when one is in his or her teenage stage and even in the early years of adulthood. It occurs when the skin secretes too much oil that is combined with the dead skin cells that block the pores. Excessive washing or use of harsh products and/or performing too many treatments simultaneously may worsen the breakouts. Rather, a basic routine using the correct ingredients can be referred to in order to settle the skin, lower the level of oil, and help heal in the long run. Clear skin does not occur immediately and that is alright. Consistency, patience and appropriate care can help you gradually restore your skin to being healthier and more balanced.
